Spawning aggregations of Lutjanus cyanopterus (Cuvier) on the Belize Barrier Reef over a 6 year period. Journal of Fish Biology 67: 83-101.

The aggregations exhibited a numerical magnitude between 4,000 to 10,000 indivuduals during May. According to Heyman et al., the Cubera snapper builds consistent aggregations in relation to location, photoperiod, lunar cycle and water temperature. Such aggregation forms within the Gladden Spit Marine Reserve at southern Belize. For more details, access the article: Heyman et al. (2005).
